The Orlando Chess and Games Center (OCG) was founded in 2002 by FIDE Master Alex Zelner. Since that time, it has grown to become an active chess center where people of all ages and skill levels come to learn, practice, and compete in the great game of chess.
WHAT DOES THE ORLANDO CHESS & GAMES CENTER OFFER?
The Orlando Chess and Games Center offers USCF-rated Scholastic and Quick tournaments each month at its tournament venue located at the University of Central Florida's campus.
In addition, OCG offers scholastic chess programs for schools. If you are a teacher or school administrator and would like to inquire about starting a chess program for your school, please contact Alex Zelner.

ORLANDO CHESS & GAMES CENTER OFFERS A VARIETY OF CHESS ACTIVITIES
USCF Rated Scholastic Tournaments: Held once a month on Saturdays, designed for scholastic (age 18 and under) players, consisting of 5 games. This event is USCF-rated. We award trophies and medals to every participant. The scholastic tournament entry fee is $25 with a flat rate of $15 per additional sibling.
USCF Rated Quick Open Tournaments: USCF quick-rated open tournament. Scholastic players are welcome to participate in a 5 game Swiss System competition. Time control is 24 minutes with 5 second delay. There are no trophies or medals presented to the players. We award up to $650 based on number of participants. Tournament entry fee is $35.
