As many of you may (or may not) know, Orlando Chess and Games Center is in the process of moving from its current location, 7602 W. Sand Lake Road. It's hard to believe, but OCG had maintained its location in the Plaza Venezia shopping center for over 5 years! Many great tournaments, camps, lectures and simuls were held at the old OCG, providing endless special memories for the people involved in them. While we will miss the old OCG location, there is a tremendous amount of excitement and anticipation about the new OCG, whose location is only three miles east from Plaza Venzia

The Center is moving to a new building located on 8853 Commodity Circle #9, near the intersections of Sand Lake Road and John Young Parkway. We have been working dilligently throughout the end of December and January toward the moving process. Final adjustments are being made on the construction and preparation of the new space. The GRAND OPENING of the new and improved Orlando Chess and Games Center is scheduled for Friday, February 9, 2007! We will open at 6:00 P.M. and have our regularly scheduled Friday Fun Knights Tournament starting at 7:30 P.M.  Refreshments and Pizza will be served, complimentary on Friday February 9th to all particpants in the tournament. A list of upcoming rated events for 2007 has been posted on this website. We hope to see you soon at the new Orlando Chess and Games Center. Come "check" us out!
