Andrew Green Wins March OCG OPEN

The March OCG OPEN was held this past Saturday, March 18th. Twenty players played in the tournament. Congratulations to Andrew Green (1775) who won the tournament with a score of 3.5 points. Coming into the last round Andrew was trailing Lucas van Beuzekom (1762) by a score of 2.5 points to 3 points. The two met on board one in the final round, and Andrew was able to win. Lucas' 3 points were good enough for him to share third and fourth place with Dalton Perrine (1767) and Hengyi Wu (1705).
Sarah Errafay (1232) won the U-1600 prize for the second straight month with the score of 2.5 points. Congratulations to Tyler Rhodes (866), who finished with a score of 2.5 points to win the U-1400 prize. The U-1200 prize was split by Bill Lawder (941) and Luis Ortiz (733) who both finished with 2 points.
On an interesting footnote: although he did not win any prize money, Roger Pagel (1632), from Missouri, did not lose a single game. Roger finished with 2.5 points (1 win and 3 draws). This included draws against the two highest rated players in the tournament, Dalton Perrine, and eventual tournament winner Andrew Green. Not a bad performance!
